The four-pointed encolpion, with one side (the front) thicker, bears a relief of the Crucifixion in the style of the Christ of Myliatyn. Below the Сrucifixion, there is a skull. Small cross is screwed into the side of the horizontal crossbeam. At the top of the vertical crossbeam, there is a loop. An encolpion is a folding cross with two parts, typically containing relics of saints inside. It began to spread in Kyiv Rus from the 10th century.
