During the Jewish festival of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, the Jewish family had to have four ritual plants: the fruit of an etrog (citron), a branch of a date palm, sprigs of myrtle and willow. The etrog fruit, one of the four necessary components of the holiday, was kept in special silver, rarely wooden boxes. In the 19th century, silver candy canes could be used as such a box. The object was found in the treasure at Khimichna str., Lviv, 1985, at the same time transferred to museum.
