Leopold Levitsky (1906 - 1973) - Ukrainian graphic artist, painter. Studied in Paris, Krakow. Created a unique stylistic manner. Taught at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing.
In Soviet times, artists were expected to, in addition to their own projects, also depict events (past and present) from the point of view of class struggle, glorify the "cult of labor", "Soviet people" and the successes of communism, condemn religious organizations, the "rotten West" etc.
